International Theatre Institute (ITI) celebrates theÂ
World Theatre Day
With Augusto Boal, author of the International Message 2009
In collaboration with the Culture Sector of UNESCO and the Embassy of Brazil in France.
This year on the occasion of the World Theatre Day, the author of the International Message is the
Brazilian Augusto Boal, well-known throughout the world and recognized theatre man, founder of
the “Theatre of the Oppressed” and awarded the UNESCO Pablo Picasso medal. He will be there
with us to celebrate this particular day in Paris within the UNESCO headquarters. Among the participants,
there will be also Ramendu Majumdar (President of ITI), Ali Mahdi (Vice-president of ITI) and
Thomas Engel (Coordinator of the ITI European Forum).
The ceremony will take place on Wednesday, the 25th of March 2009 - 19h -(on invitation you can find here attached)
