At Il Cortile delle Pietre Narranti, on the evening of August 4, Massimiliano Filoni staged the interactive performance “Altre Storie.”

Drawing inspiration from the life story of Christine de Pizan, the audience discussed the themes of freedom, dreams, the actual achievement of gender equality, and the small choices we can make to change the world.

This is one of the Collective Poems created by the audience.

We Can Choose

We can choose to be human
and take responsibility for our actions,
which means choosing to hope.
We can choose to tell the truth:
a small reminder of what we must do.
We can choose to take responsibility for expressing ourselves, for not lying, for respecting others.
We can choose to change our perspective on reality
which is what transforms us into examples of action
and empowers us to rebel.
We can choose to be illusions,
and this saves us from reality.
