The Italian Social Theatre Meeting will take place in the historic centre of Lucca at CRED (Educational and Teaching Resource Centre) in Via Sant’Andrea, 33 – Lucca
The programme consists of four social theatre workshops lasting a total of around eight hours and four ‘spot’ workshops of four hours each, an opening round-table discussion, as well as a concert and an evening performance – all free of charge and open to the public.
The Revelation of Poetry is a theater workshop to explore how the grace and power of Poetry and Dreams, when channeled collectively, can change the way we walk through the world—and how our journey can change the world.
To all those who, rather than loving us, want us to be useful. To those who wage wars, cause hunger, and exploit others; to those who devastate the planet; to those who say there are no alternatives. To those who silence us, to those who steal our voices. To the bullies, to the social climbers. Let us respond with poetic resistance, staging the unthinkable, giving form and substance to dreams; breaking through the barriers of mediocrity and conformity.
With the tenderness and love of a song that, from sound, becomes a word that names, that calls, that gives life to what was not there before.
